A Passion for Women’s Health
“As a woman and a physician, I’ve seen firsthand how often women’s health concerns are overlooked or minimized. I wanted to create a practice that not only addresses these concerns but also celebrates the beauty and strength of every woman, regardless of age, skin tone, or life stage.”
Dr. Analysa Gallegos is more than just a physician—she’s an advocate for women’s health and wellness. With years of experience in emergency medicine and a deep understanding of the unique challenges women face, Dr. Gallegos founded The Derm Project to create a space where women feel heard, supported, and empowered to look and feel their best.

Education and Expertise
Dr. Gallegos brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. She earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. She then went on to complete an emergency medicine residency at Hackensack University Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident. In 2019 she joined the staff of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas where she currently serves as Medical Director and Chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Her background in emergency medicine leadership has given her a unique perspective on patient safety and the importance of evidence-based practices—values that are at the core of The Derm Project.
The Inspiration Behind The Derm Project
Dr. Gallegos’ journey to founding The Derm Project was deeply personal. After years of practicing medicine, she noticed a gap in the healthcare system—a lack of inclusive, personalized care that truly addressed the needs of women, particularly those navigating life stages like menopause or dealing with skin concerns specific to their skin tone.
“I saw so many women who felt invisible or unheard by their healthcare practitioners. They were struggling with weight gain, hormonal changes, or skin concerns, and they didn’t know where to turn. I knew I had to do something to change that.”
Inspired by her own experiences and the stories of her patients, Dr. Gallegos founded The Derm Project with a clear mission: to provide safe, inclusive, and medically supervised treatments that help women look and feel their best, safely and confidently.
A Commitment to Inclusivity and Safety
“For too long, the aesthetics industry has focused on treatments that work well for lighter skin tones, leaving women of color underserved and at risk. At The Derm Project, we’re changing that. We offer treatments designed to be safe and effective for all skin tones, because beauty comes in every color.”
Dr. Gallegos is deeply committed to ensuring that all women, regardless of their skin tone or type, have access to safe and effective treatments.
